    This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 3rd day of October, 1943, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [3257], new Associate Member of the Ass'n for Research and Enlightenment, Inc., recommended by her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. [2533] and Mrs. [2390].

        GC: You will give the relations of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:

        In giving the interpretation of the records as we have them here, these we find quite varied in their aspects in giving ways of the expressions in the earth.

The staff would be oaken, and not perpendicular but leaning toward the right. On the pennant would be the design as of the dragon; this facing the lion - and the dragon would be deep yellow in color.

        In the left hand lower corner would be a fir tree; this quite green but not too dark. On the right side of the lower figure would be a bundle or a tie of wheat, and this as being ripened wheat with full grain, and in the color of same.

        This would be upon a figure about fourteen inches square, the background white of course, and this as the center.

        As we will see, the experiences in the earth may interpret the figures in the seal.

        In interpreting the records here. These we choose with the desire that this may be a helpful experience for the entity, enabling the entity to better fulfill those purposes for which it chose to enter.

Hence, as in most, it will either be a leader or a failure; dependent upon the application of that which it has gained through the experiences in the earth - as it applies same in the activities before others.

        In giving an interpretation of those influences that may be had from a composite of the astrological and material sojourns, we find these characteristics indicated:

        In Jupiter we find the benevolent influences and those tendencies for being too free with itself, as indicated in Mars with Venus, to attain those influences in the experiences that appear in the activities of the entity. These may be applied in the mental in the spiritual, in the material things. The spiritual, as indicated, should be the basis for tendencies in reaching conclusions in the mental, that the material may be the more beautiful, the more harmonious, the more in keeping with those purposes of the entity.

        As to the appearances and activities in the earth, these have been quite varied. While all may not be indicated here, we would give those that indicate tendencies for the entity's edification in the application of self to those conditions in the present experience.

Whether these be in the moral, or in the letter or in the spirit, depends upon the activities of the individual respecting same.

        Then in the name Iola Callahan, the entity gained. For many of those activities that brought greater expansion of abilities of the group were a portion of the entity's experience through that sojourn.

        The entity then raised a large family, and some of the records of the early experiences of the entity's offspring may be found among the records in the land of this sojourn.

These are well if they are patterned in an ideal and tempered with the experiences of the entity as indicated in the pennant flag, with the dragon upon same; which requires the conquering of self in its choices for judgments of others.

        These are well, and yet they may be excessive either in overactivity or underactivity in the application of same.

        Before that the entity was in the Holy Land during those periods just following the ministry of the Christ.

        The entity was among those peoples who on the day of Pentecost became so enthused with the experiences through which each one passed that heard the speaker of the day in their own tongue or in their own language.

        The entity - as indicated in the design or figure in the lower left portion of the seal - the entity became as a green fir tree, offering to all not only comfort but direction, an increasing in the evaluation of experiences of others in their relationships with individual activities, as well as the concerted efforts in the various churches or various groups.

        For we find the entity was an aid in carrying the messages to the various groups that became organized in their efforts. Thus in the associations in the church of Laodicea the entity brought a helpful influence. For the entity became as the lady elect or the select lady in the ministering to the needs of the saints as well as the young, the afflicted, the indigent.

        The entity then labored among those less fortunate, seeking to give the opportunity to the various groups to become better acquainted with the laws and the spiritual laws.

        Thus the food for body, the food for that representing the broken body in the shock of wheat as increasing in the activities of the entity, may bring some thirty or some sixty fold, dependent upon the applying of self pertaining to the usages of those activities and opportunities in the relationships with others.

        As to the abilities of the entity in the present, that to which it may attain and how:

        As indicated, first analyze self. Know thy ideal, - spiritual, mental, material. Then so apply self in those directions as never to condemn another, never to be in that position of holding a grudge, or holding any of those things that make people afraid. For as ye have ever been in that position of aid to those not understanding, then do not become as one giving too much of judgments without the passing judgment on self.

        In those fields of record keeping, as a statistician or datastician - in records of happenings or activities, and especially genealogies, the entity may find an outlet for the greater service.
